Juvenes Translatores (Latin for "young translators"), launched in 2007, is a translation contest for secondary school pupils in the European Union (EU) organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation (DGT). The next contest will be held in November 2015. It usually takes place from 10.00 am until 12.00 noon (Brussels time).〔Contestants sit the test at the same time despite the time difference between Brussels and their home countries. For overseas territories belonging to a European country, exceptions are possible, e.g. for Guadeloupe or Martinique.〕 == Objectives == The objectives of the Juvenes Translatores contest are to promote: *language learning *multilingualism *translation as a career The contest aims to raise young people's awareness of how language skills help Europeans to communicate better and work towards a common understanding. It also points out the importance of diversifying the languages we learn in order to increase multilingualism and intercultural understanding, and highlights the benefits of studying translation, given the ever-growing need for translators in Europe. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Juvenes Translatores」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
